When I first did a write about ‘the boy who sings like a girl’ (20 Dec 2007) I don’t think that any of us expected the positive world-wide response to his music. Well it is almost 2 years later and he has a new album out …equally entertaining as the first one – if not better.

His new album titled ‘The boy who knew too much’, Mika worked with producer Greg Wells (who also produced his first album). Mika described the album’s theme as Part II on dealing with his teenage years. In his own words the songs are like “gothic Tim Burton-esque fantasies”.
An interesting fact is that the album artwork (as with the first) was designed by Mika’s sister and was inspired by children’s picture books from the 1940s and 1970s.

There has been speculation about his sexuality, but in a September 2009 interview in Gay & Night, Mika commented on his sexuality: "I've never ever labeled myself. But having said that; I've never limited my life, I've never limited who I sleep with... Call me whatever you want. Call me bisexual, if you need a term for me…You should be as free as you want”
My favourites on his new album are:
“We are Golden”
“Blame it on the Girls”
“Rain”
Mika you are still infectious!!! You go boy …girl ….Oh whatever it doesn’t matter – we love you!
